In regard for Palm Sunday, we look at the events of that day with an eye toward understanding what Jesus thought of as he entered Jerusalem.

So, here’s their estimation of the messiah. Thirty shekels. Thirty pieces of silver. That’s the price of a bond-slave. Prophesied estimation of the worth of the messiah, like a slave in value. “And the Lord said unto me ‘cast it unto the potter.’” That, friends is a proverb. The potters found the best clay in the valley of Hinnom. The valley of Hinnom was a disgusting place, which is where the garbage was cast.
